Strengthening the Strong
The programs
under the Dirshu auspices do not seek to rest upon their
laurels. They will not be content with what has been accomplished,
monumental though the achievements have been. To serve their goal of
strengthening Torah from within the ramparts of its bastions, they have
released special publications. Twice to date has the “Chizuk”
journal been printed - in the thousands. Inside are the pronouncements and
the statements of Gedolei Ha’Torah regarding such themes as the
importance of Torah study during Bein Hazemanim, and regarding the
loftiness of the yeshiva student’s pursuit of Torah in general. The
contents of Chizuk’s pages have made a meaningful impact on thousands
of young men who studied the texts from cover to cover. They have been moved
by the words of Torah luminaries, words that have now been presented to them
in orderly fashion.
Beyond this,
there is also a weekly flyer known as “Hayeshiva,” whose intention is
to transmit the eagerness and the motivation for limud haTorah that
reign in the yeshiva into the atmosphere of the common Jewish household.
The most
prestigious of the Dirshu publications, and the fruits of its
labours, are the sefarim of chiddushei Torah of the
chaveirim. Nothing brings greater joy to those who have toiled to
provide and participate in the Dirshu programs than to be able
to disseminate the novel Torah thoughts that have made their hard
work worthwhile.
