Taking Advice from Gedolim
Written
testimonials penned by a number of Gedolim and circulated at one of
the national gatherings of Dirshu, are effective statements in
their own right.
Harav Yosef
Efrati brought with him, and read aloud, a letter from Hagaon Harav Yosef
Shaul Elyshiv, shlita. “23 Tishrei, 5761. My blessing is
extended to all assembled for the honor of Torah - to those who have toiled
in Torah study, who have taken part in the Dirshu Hashem V’uzo
program in the yeshivos throughout the holy land. The source of
blessing is the esteemed philanthropist, Rav Dovid Hofstedter, whose heart
advised him to place the foundation under the supervision of Roshei
Yeshivos, while personally bearing the financial yoke faithfully each
month. In his merit shall come the blessing. (signed) Y.S. Elyashiv
Hagaon Harav Aharon Leib Steinman, shlita whose own yeshiva Orchos
HaTorah has a Dirshu program, wrote the following excerpt
from his letter to yeshiva students who participated in the Dirshu
program.
“May the
words ‘shesulim b’veis Hashem’ – planted in he house of the Creator
–‘b’chatzros Elokeinu yafrichu,’ will blossom in the courtyards of
Hashem, ‘Od yenuvun beseivah,’ may they continue to bear fruit in
their old age, become fulfilled in you. If only your hearts will be with
you thusly always to fear the Almighty all your days. May we all merit the
salvation of eternity and may the hall of justice stand once again.”
